This short video highlights two of the three main components of the InSite system: the Player Unit that installs in the helmet and the Alert Monitor that receives notifications for noteworthy impacts.
I was responsible for managing off-site manufacturing and programming of the Alert Monitor PCBs, housings, and final assembly and testing. I also extensively regression tested various firmware releases as new features were added and bugs were discovered.
Player Unit development
I designed sensors for next-gen helmet geometries, drop-tested helmets as part of new sensor development, troubleshot field and manufacturing issues, managed manufacturing of piezo-electret film sensor pads/PCBs/housings/final assemblies, evaluated manufacturing data, resolved battery disconnect issues, and more.
InSite Player Management software
I developed a protocol and then extensively regression tested various iterations of software, helped manage new release roll-outs, and helped pitch next-gen software to Riddell's management team.
