Escape Rooms

My wife and I are big fans of escape rooms. Here we are after completing the "Red Giant" quest in Los Angeles. Since her family loves games and holidays, we decided to design our own Christmas-themed escape room for the holiday.

The goal was to make it interesting both from a reveal standpoint (exciting clue discovery and reveal techniques) as well as overall structure (non-linear, with parallel clue paths that would eventually converge). After some intense brainstorming and clue linking, the game workflow was complete.

Game on

With some clues provided when requested, the final lock was opened just moments before the clock ran out. Success! The final prize was a well-earned bunch of scratch tickets.
